An open letter to all of Congress
Fri Jun 20, 2008 at 08:16:36 AM PDT
Honorable Representatives and Senators,
First of all, thank you all for your continued work on behalf of our nation.
I write this letter, not as just a constituent or a resident of CA-12, but as a world citizen who is concerned for the future of America, and with it, the future of humankind as a whole.
Everything* I need to know, I learned from video games.

Sounds immature, bizarre and somewhat nerdish, doesn't it? What kind of nonsense can one possibly learn from staring at a TV and buttonmashing?

New group: Concerned Republicans for American Presidency

As Senator Clinton continues to try to run the Democratic party into the ground, Senator McCain is getting ignored by the press, as many of you have pointed out. This is really quite problematic; while we're pleased that the left has offered us their refreshing take on the trigger-happy neocon (yes, you, Hillary), that's not good enough*. We've been ignoring our own trigger-happy neocon, and electing the wrong one could be dangerous to the future of the country.
With this in mind, while we're waiting for the Clinton campaign to finish self-destructing, I'd like to propose the following actions to get the word out to the general public about where the Straight Talk Express really leads.
Why I March: the SF protest as seen by a neophyte
Sun Oct 28, 2007 at 02:00:31 PM PDT
There has been some talk on DK lately over the effectiveness of street protests, especially since it seems that the current administration blithely ignore what the people want. However, after attending one for the first time yesterday, I believe they still have merit and can still be an important tool (albeit not the only tool) for change.
To show how, I offer my own experience.
Hate group to campaign in favour of soldier deaths at military funeral tomorrow
Fri Oct 12, 2007 at 01:43:09 PM PDT
A group named Westboro Baptist Church have taken to campaigning at funerals of Iraq casualties, claiming that, because God hates those of LGBT persuasion and the countries in which they live, He is actively causing US personnel to die during warfare.
